To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we have used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.

When your child no longer uses diapers, you can lower the top shelf and use the furniture as a desk for homework or being creative.
The fixed shelf below the changing table can be attached to the right or to the left.

Never leave your child unattended on the changing table.
This furniture must be secured to the wall with the safety device provided to help prevent it from tipping over if a child climbs or hangs on it.

We recommend that you use a changing pad with dimensions that fit the changing table and which is max. ¾" thick. Place the changing pad in the middle of the changing surface.
Different wall materials require different types of hardware. The included screws are suitable for wooden materials, and the wall plugs can be used for plaster, concrete, or masonry. Follow the instructions for the wall type in your home.
Knobs and handles are sold separately.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
Calm start with safe routines
In anticipation of the new family member arriving, you can prepare a cozy, safe and practical place for changing diapers, clothes and everything else that concerns the baby's care. Then coming home with your newborn baby can be completely wonderful, but also a bit overwhelming. The laundry pile grows and you try to juggle doing everything that needs to be done while holding the baby at the same time. With a combination of SMÅSTAD changing table and storage, you can easily reach everything you need on hooks and in drawers, and can still have a snug hand devoted to your child.
