Three sauces to honor your meatballs

Are you looking for a special sauce for your meatballs? We present you three sauce recipes that will help you enhance the taste of your HUVUDROLL meatballs, whether they are made of chicken, meat or vegetables.

Chicken meatballs with curry sauce

Ingredients
  • HUVUDROLL Chicken meatballs
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp curry paste
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper 
Preparation
  1. Heat the oil over medium heat in a pan. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until tender.
  2. Add the curry paste to the pan and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add the coconut milk into the pan and mix well to combine with the curry paste.
  4. Stir in the sugar, lime juice, salt and pepper.
  5. Add the chicken meatballs to cook at the same time as the sauce. When they are done, you can serve them.

Meatballs with cream sauce and cranberry jam

Ingredients
  • HUVUDROLL beef meatballs
  • ALLEMANSRÄTTEN sauce mix
  • SYLT LINGON lingonberry jam
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml water
Preparation
  1. Cook the meatballs in a pan with previously heated oil. 
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, add the water, milk and ALLEMANSRÄTTEN sauce mix. Stir well until no lumps remain.
  3. Serve the meatballs with the sauce, a spoonful of jam and some salad.

Ingredients
  • HUVUDROLL vegetable meatballs
  • 2 cups of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Peparation
  1. In a blender, blend the basil leaves, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts and garlic cloves. Slowly add the olive oil.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve the sauce with the previously cooked vegetable meatballs.
