IKEA MARKETING DEPARTMENT CONTEST HELD FROM JANUARY 31 TO FEBRUARY 18, 2023.
The following are the Terms and Conditions under which the online event "Giants of Heart with IKEA Family" will be developed and conducted. Any person wishing to participate acknowledges and accepts that the development and execution of this promotional activity will be subject solely and exclusively to the Terms and Conditions of these rules and our website.
1. PROMOTION SPONSOR: SARTON PUERTO RICO LLC ("IKEA"). For the purposes of this contest, we formally declare our domicile at SARTON PUERTO RICO LLC. 2. DURATION AND TERRITORIAL SCOPE: This Promotion will be valid on the island of Puerto Rico from January 31, ending on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Any entries made after the aforementioned dates and times, as well as those that do not include all the requested requirements, will be considered void.
3. PARTICIPANTS: All persons over eighteen (18) years of age who, during the Contest Period, have followed the steps of the contest mechanics and have or join the IKEA Family benefits club.
4. CONTEST MECHANICS: Participation is by completing the form at www.IKEA.pr. The winner will be contacted by phone and email, so correct registration of personal data will be necessary.
5. EXCLUSIONS: Employees and relatives of SARTON PUERTO RICO LLC ("IKEA") and related companies are excluded.
6. WINNER SELECTION: 5 winners will be chosen through the RANDOM.ORG platform. To be considered a winner, the contest mechanics indicated in point 4 must have been fulfilled.
Note: IKEA Puerto Rico may disqualify individuals who have won or participated in any of the contests held by the brand or the organizer in the last 6 months.
7. PRIZE: 4 winners of $1,000 purchase checks and 1 $3,000 purchase check.
The purchase check is non-transferable and must be used by the customer. The amount of the purchase check cannot be used to pay for transportation or assembly services nor can it be exchanged for another or cash value.
The date range in which the winner may use said check online and/or in-person (store or pickup point) spans from February 20 to 29, 2024, at the new Carolina store.
The Organizers are not responsible in case of loss or theft of the purchase check, and the customer releases the Organizers from any liability resulting from the acceptance or use of the Purchase Check or participation in the Promotion.
Using a purchase check never generates new purchase checks.
8. NOTIFICATION OF WINNER AND PRIZE DELIVERY: The winner of the contest will be announced via stories on Instagram and Facebook on Monday, February 19, 2024, on the @IKEAPuertoRico accounts. The winner will be notified by phone call or email at the number and email address provided by the winner in the form submitted for participation, indicating the steps to claim their prize. The organizers are not responsible for any expenses incurred by the winner to claim their prize; it must be collected at the IKEA Carolina store premises. If the winner does not respond to the contact within 24 hours after the end of the contest, the organizer will choose an alternate winner.
9. PERSONAL DATA: The personal data that customers provide to participate in this Promotion will be incorporated into the data file called "PROMOTIONS," owned by SARTON PUERTO RICO LLC (IKEA). 10. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES: Mere participation in the Promotion implies acceptance of these rules and also consent under the Privacy Policy Notification Law, LAW NO. 39 OF JANUARY 24, 2012, by the participants that the registered data may be used by SARTON PUERTO RICO LLC / IKEA-PR to communicate other campaigns or promotions, without the need to expressly consent in writing to the use of their personal information for these purposes. In case of doubts or discrepancies in the interpretation of these rules, they will be referred to the applicable law in Puerto Rico. The rules will be available during the period in which the Promotion is valid on the website www.IKEA.pr.
11. "USE OF WINNERS' NAMES AND IMAGES": If the winning participant is not interested in participating in these publications, they may send an email to lopd@ikeasi.com rejecting their consent. 12. GENERAL: THE ORGANIZERS may disqualify and/or exclude from the promotion those customers who have directly or indirectly altered, breached, or violated the rules established in these Promotion Rules.
13. APPLICABLE LAW: This promotion is governed by the current legislation in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, especially Regulation of Commercial Practices No. 9158 dated February 6, 2020, and these rules.
