Good storage is key in any part of the house. It is all about making the most of the space available so everything is in its place and kept perfectly organized. And in what room is this even more necessary (and complicated)? In a teen's bedroom!

Ceiling storage

Traditional storage is great and key in any home. But when we have exhausted all possibilities, when we want to innovate or, simply, when we want to use up to the last corner, we need to make a step forward! In this first idea we want to show you that creating storage on the ceiling of the bedroom is possible. Yes, without having an attic. Now, watch out for the maximum weight and try to place objects that are lightweight.

Here, we have used a MULIG wall storage combination in a new way. We have fixed it to the ceiling so it help us place all those things we barely use, maybe just twice a year: a camping mat, seasonal clothing that you still do not need… All this, of course, does not need to be in sight. This is also a good excuse for placing a bed canopy! Hang some fabric that you like, or even a curtain, and let’s get to work! Take measures and, with some simple rods or wires such as these which are fixed to the ceiling too, place it in a way that it stays folded and hides what is under it.

Bed storage: with pockets!

Another original way of having more storage in a teen’s room, is by creating it around the bed. This idea is also great with children, as it is super versatile and provides lots of extra space for storing all sorts of small objects that they use on a daily basis: from accessories, books, toys to even socks and underwear.

Storing clothes inside cushions

Have you ever thought about using cushions as a way of storing clothes and other textiles? It is not a bad idea! These are some ways in which teens can store their clothes and textiles inside cushion covers: with the change of seasons, there are some textiles that we do not need for a good part of the year. Put them to work as cushion filling and will be almost at sight until next year. A summer duvet can find its home inside a big cushion cover, and it really fluffy too! Thicker hoodies and sweaters are very crease-resistant, so… why not use them as filling?
